This was a personal award for an individual within the SCA and probably constitutes about 45-50 hours of solid work. Gold gouache AND gold foil (which I really haven't much practice with) gouache and chinese ink.
Based on the Manuscript 1156B Latin held by the Bibliothèque nationale de France.
I enjoy doing these and am happy to take commissions in this line but let me warn you - They are NOT cheap: They are Exquisite.
Dude, I wish I got THIS kinda of hand-made epic award for achieving ANYTHING in MY life. This is a priceless PRICELESS gift!!
Or at least a very very expensive gift. The people that get these invest an immeasurable amount of time into researching and teaching their crafts or skills.
Your figure painting lived up to the promise of your pencil sketch. They are very lifelike, expressive and cute. It's gonna take Steffan forever to round up all those letters so he gets the secret message...
There's a secret message?! I'm sure it's in french if there is one which is why I didn't decipher it (All the letters are pretty much in the same location as they were on the original page bar a few changed around my figures)
Here you can see Pantalone fratenising with a servant girl, La Signora glowering at her husband, El Capitano cowering from a snail and Zanni getting on with the work that needs doing while Harlequin looks on.
Aughhh so amazing <3 I love it!
